Teri Sarmiento

Teri Sarmiento is a new educator at our school teaching real estate pre-licensing and continuing education. Although she is a native of Arizona, she started her career in Los Angeles, CA in consumer products sales and marketing. Teri later moved to New York City, NY where she ran national promotions and PR for Guinness & Bass Beers. She helped launch Smirnoff Ice, creating a new product category in the beverage industry.  In 2001, she decided to make a professional transition from the corporate world to non-profit. Teri worked with the Lincoln Center to bring arts education to school children in the five boroughs, and helped train hundreds of educators from around the country to use arts as a vehicle for teaching.

Living and working in New York City was a life-changing experience for Teri and brought a focus on the importance of being closer to friends and family. This clarity led her to relocate back to the Phoenix area. In 2010, Teri opened Desert Fairways Realty, in large part because of her commitment to ethical and transparent business leadership and agent training.

Teri holds a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University in French and also speaks Spanish.  She has two boys, age 3 and 4.5 who keep her on her toes. Before kids she and her husband John loved to travel and garden.  They hope to do that again someday; after a really long nap.
