Course Registration and Payment are required 48-hours prior to your class start date to guarantee a seat in the course. Any registration taken less than 48-hours, will be subject to availability.
Steps To Get Your Insurance License
Pre-licensing education requirements
There are no pre-licensing education requirements. However, you must know the concepts to pass the exam. Choosing Arizona School of Real Estate & Business as your pre-licensing education provider is the first step in preparing to pass this exam
Pass your licensing exam
Exam Fee: The fee for Life – Only, Health- Only, and Personal Lines is $44. The fee for Life and Health, Property and Casualty, and Arizona Insurance Claims Adjuster is $56.
Schedule Exam: Arizona Insurance exams are administered by Prometric. To schedule an exam, candidates may call Prometric toll free at (800) 853- 5448 or visit their website here.
Passing Score Required: 70%.
Apply for License/Get Fingerprinted
Apply for License: For questions regarding how to obtain a license after the examination has been passed, candidates should contact the Arizona Department of Insurance at (602) 364- 4457 (Phoenix area or outside Arizona) or (877) 660- 7269 (Within Arizona but outside Phoenix) or visit them online at www.azinsurance.gov/producers. After passing the examination, candidates must apply for their license within one year.
Getting Fingerprinted: The state of Arizona requires candidates to get fingerprinted as part of the licensure process. Candidates can register and pay ($20 fee) for Prometric’s fingerprinting service at the same time they schedule their exam or may choose to be fingerprinted at another location.
