January Instructor Highlight of the Month – John Wenner

John Wenner has been a REALTOR® for more than 25 years. He is one of two people designated with a DREIDistinguished Real Estate Instructor Credential through the Real Estate Educator’s Association (REEA). Currently, only 72 of these credential holders exist in the world. John is the Former Team Leader and CEO of Keller Williams Santa Barbara/Montecito, where he led more than 200 agents. In just 2.5 years, he grew the company from the 8th largest to the 3rd largest real estate company.

John is a certified NAR Trainer for programs like Accredited Buyer Representative, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource Certification, and Military Resource  Professional. He also teaches continuing education courses in 12 states and serves as a NAR Convention Speaker. John has logged more than 25,000 hours teaching and speaking on negotiation and real estate.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Pre-Law and Mathematics, John went on to earn a master’s degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from California State University. He is a member of the “Program on Negotiation” at Harvard Law School and serves as a Guest Speaker at UC Davis School of Law. John was an active-duty military in the United States Marine Corps for 9 years.
