3 Hours Legal Issues
This three hour course will discuss Federal Internal Revenue Service regulations regarding various exchange structures, the legal and tax implications, and the calculations necessary to determine if exchanging or selling is more appropriate. Topics cover what the law dictates for like-kind properties, exclusions, time deadlines, contract preparation, and tactics to reduce liability. Also covered will be non-tax reasons to conduct and IRS 1031 exchange.
