August 2020 – Letter From the School VP

Greg Muir
Executive Vice President, Arizona Journal of Real Estate & Business

Dear Friends,

I hope you all have been staying safe and healthy amidst everything going on in the world. My letter in the August issue of the Journal would typically be marked with fun questions about your summer vacations, activities, and excursions. However, that’s not the case this year.

As I reflect on the events of national unrest these past few months, I wanted to take a moment to remind readers and students of the importance of being kind to one another. Care for one another is at the heart of our school’s core values, whether you are an employee, student, or community member. As a company, we have spent time reflecting on how we can deepen our commitment to equality and justice. We firmly believe that no one should be discriminated against because of the color of their skin, who they are, who they love, or who they choose to be.

We’re also still navigating the impact of COVID-19 which will continue to be an influencer on the real estate market. While we’re seeing areas of Phoenix rebound after the initial market slowdown, it’s important to keep a close watch for any movement to ensure this trend continues. In this issue of the Journal, you’ll find articles to help you cope with the impact of COVID-19 in real estate, specifically in the luxury market.

If you’ve ever thought about getting your real estate broker’s license but couldn’t find the time I invite you to consider taking our online broker licensing course. We worked with the ADRE to get approval to offer this

online, “go at your own pace” option. Making it easier than ever before to advance your career in Real Estate. ASREB and our friends at the Hogan School of Real Estate are the only schools in Arizona currently approved for an online broker program!

I hope you will join us for our upcoming seminar, “Selling Luxury Homes,” on August 28th to learn tips, tricks, and the impact of COVID-19 on real estate from experts in the industry. While this seminar will be held virtually via Livestream, I assure you they are still full of helpful information to be successful in the luxury market. Visit ASREB.com for the latest seminar and course information.

Readers, to say “it’s been a bumpy ride” would be putting it lightly. But we’re getting through it together, one day at a time. Remember to be patient and kind with one another, always.

Sincerely,

Greg Muir
