Letter From the Publisher

President, Arizona Journal of Real Estate & Business

Dear Readers,

This month marks the beginning of summer and the end of the school year for many students across the country. However, at the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business, we educate our students all year long and offer the highest-quality curriculum in real estate, mortgage, appraisal, home inspection, and contracting. At the close of May, we were honored to celebrate leaders in our industry at the Journal Industry Awards, and I look forward to sharing more about this terrific event in our next issue.

This edition highlights the ins and outs of fixing and flipping a home. Each project comes with its own special challenges, but with repetition comes wisdom. For that reason, this issue contains knowledgeable articles from authors with experience in all areas of the process. Our writers share insights gained over many years in the house-flipping business, which include discussions about financing and the legalities involved in these kinds of projects.

If you’d like to learn more about fixing and flipping homes, I encourage you to attend our CE-approved seminar on June 22, 2018, called “Find It, Fix It, Flip It.” We have some great speakers lined up to discuss where and how to find potential properties, what goes into improving these fixer-uppers, and how to sell!

Also, remember that June 17 is Father’s Day. While I’m a proud member of the ASREB family, nothing makes me happier than my two children, Ava and Jack. So, to all the dads among our readers: enjoy your day!
