Instructor Highlight: Kim Ayers

Kim Ayers

Kim Ayers has been in the real estate industry for nearly 18 years, with extensive experience in property management. She is a Real Estate Broker and the Owner of Desert Masters Realty & Property Management. Kim got started in real estate for the same reason many people do, she loves the flexibility!

Prior to the real estate industry, Kim was a project manager for information technology projects at the Arizona Department of Corrections. It’s there that she found her love of teaching because part of her job’s volunteer hours were dedicated to teaching classes. Her project management skills from her previous role have served her well in real estate, too.

“I’ve always loved teaching. It’s fun and challenging to explain the material in a way that makes it click for others.”

And when Kim dove into the world of real estate, she made it her mission to truly be part of the industry. Early on, she joined the National Association of Residential Property Management (NARPM), where she took on leadership roles and was encouraged to give back to the industry.

“I love giving back. I know how overwhelming it was for me when I got started in the industry. I’m not a good test taker so I can relate to the students who know the material but struggle on the exam. It’s great to be able to use my experiences to help others. I want our future REALTORS to be the best that they can be.”

Kim is an instructor for real estate pre-licensing, broker licensing, and continuing education courses at Arizona School of Real Estate & Business and Hogan School of Real Estate. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, playing bocce ball, and staying active with clubs in her neighborhood community.
