How can I be sure a career in real estate is for me?

Real estate is, above all else, a customer service business. You will be involved in what will be one of the biggest purchases/sales in someone’s life. We would encourage you to sit down and review your career objectives and what you want to get from your career. Discuss those issues and goals with someone who knows first hand what the industry is like and then make your decision. See our Career Event section for more details.

Do I need a broker to take the courses?

No. It is not necessary to have a broker for you to take our courses. When you apply for your license after passing both the school and state exams and wish to have an active license, you must hang your license with a broker so that you may practice real estate. Choosing a broker can be a great source of support and knowledge while you complete your course of study, but not necessary for attending classes.

How long is my education valid?

Your education is valid for 10 years. However, we recommend that you do not wait that long to put it to use.

Is working part-time in the real estate industry possible?

That is a question that is really best answered by your broker. The answer to that question may also vary depending on the company. So, if this is important to you, be sure to ask before you commit to a broker.

Is there a lot of outside work in the classes?

We understand that if you are in class all day, studying in the evening after classes is not always possible. Our instructors do a great job at highlighting the most important information in class. However, reviewing, reading and studying after hours helps to better prepare you for passing the state exam the very first time. Keep in mind that the classes are spaced in such a manner that any assignments are easily managed.
