A Fresh Start

A new year is a time where many people vow to make changes or accomplish things they’ve been aspiring to achieve or never done before – resolutions are made and goals are set. This year, some surveys have shown that there has been a shift away from the usual goals of losing weight and saving money. In 2016, many people report wanting to simply create a better quality of life or find happiness. However, on average only 8 percent of Americans actually meet their yearly resolutions – mainly because they treat the resolution as a hope and fail to implement a specific plan of action to make it happen. Heading into February, daily routines are often back in place and resolutions begin to fade.

In our environment of adult education, we have the privilege of helping people plan for change throughout the year. Interestingly, a common reason many people enter the field of real estate matches the 2016 resolution trend of aspiring for better quality of life and finding happiness.

Another environment of change throughout the year can be seen within the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. This organization dedicates its business to providing resources to more than 25,000 women every year who may be encountering life challenges – and they help these women plan to meet their goals. In 2015, the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business implemented real estate workshops and a scholarship program to support this organization’s efforts. We awarded a real estate education scholarship to applicant Christine Yost, who recently completed her 90 hours of education at our school. We are very excited to follow Christine’s success in the industry.

We look forward to offering more scholarships and workshops throughout 2016 – it’s always a good time for a change and a fresh start.
