I hope you all are able to enjoy the long holiday weekend this Labor Day. Use the day off as an opportunity to relax and spend time with loved ones.

In this issue of The Journal, you’ll learn about short-term leases from experts in the industry. Although long-term leases offer an owner or property manager stability, there are many reasons to consider offering a short-term lease to tenants. Whether you’re seeking to eventually sell the property or take advantage of variation in seasonal demand, short-term rentals can be mutually beneficial for lessor and lessee. Be sure to read up on the pros and cons of incorporating a short-term lease before doing so. In Chris Charles’ article, you’ll have the opportunity to brush up on the laws of disclosure and the seller’s legal responsibility to share specific information about a property.
