Residential Real Estate Rookie
Of The Year 2015
Why did you choose a career as a real estate agent?
I’ve always had a personal interest in investment properties. I thought if I had my real estate license I would suddenly be privy to information only available to those in the industry. Now that I have my license and have access to information only REALTORS® have access to, I believe I can help others see the value in investment properties and lead by example. My business goal is to turn my homeowners and my investors into multi-family investors.
What are your top 3 ingredients for success as it relates to our field?
- Prospecting: Finding your deal.
- Follow up: Keeping your deal together.
- Listings: Closing the deal. You need to sell, not just list.
What is your philosophy on community service and your favorite local cause – and why?
Getting involved in the community is a great way to do the things you love to do, meet people with similar interests and have a presence. My favorite local cause is Girls Rule! We help young teenage girls become confident, young women. Through building leadership skills and participating in service projects, the girls gain the encouragement as well as skills needed to further their dreams and future. This program is about 3 core values: encouragement, leadership and friendship.
In what ways would you suggest someone give back to the real estate industry?
There’s so many ways to give back to the industry. I would suggest finding something you enjoy doing and support growth of that endeavor. I enjoy running, so I run for charity. I encourage my colleagues in the industry to take on the same challenge. It’s simple, easy and fun!
What is your most memorable Arizona news story/headline and why?
“Scottsdale, Most Livable City.” (1993) I’ve travelled and lived all over the world – I never felt more at home than when I am in Scottsdale. The resort lifestyle is a lifestyle I’ve come to enjoy. We’re so lucky to live in such a beautiful city surrounded by mountains with so much to offer for outdoor enthusiasts.
